Can I buy a gift card?

Yes! Gift cards are available for purchase either in-person at the cafe, or over the phone. If you would like to purchase a gift card over the phone please call us at (617)487-5259 during business hours (5p-11p). Cards purchased over the phone can either be picked up at the cafe, or mailed to the recipient.

Can I bring alcohol into Knight Moves?

Yes! The $5/person Food & Beverage Fee will apply, and all members of the party must show valid ID.

Do you have _____ game?

Probably! We have over 600 unique titles. Click HERE to see our updated list of games in our collection.

Can I reserve a table?

Currently, we do not accept table reservations. If the café is full when you arrive, we will place you on the waitlist and call you when a table becomes available.

Can I bring in 10+ people?

Yes, however, parties of 10 or more must rent out a room in advance. Please see the Room Rentals tab for more information.

Parties of 10+ that arrive without a room reservation will be placed on the waitlist and will be notified if/when enough seats become available.

Can I host a private party at Knight Moves?

Can I bring my own game?

Yes! The Game Fee will still apply to those who choose to bring in their own games.

Do I have to play games?

Not necessarily. Paying the Game Fee grants you access to the game library, as well as ensures that the table will be yours until you decide to leave. Folks that are playing games will be given priority for table space, but if there is an available table, please feel free to order something from the café and hang out for as long as space allows! Please note that weekends are gamers-only.

Can I leave and come back?

Yes! The Game Fee covers gameplay for an entire day, so you are welcome to come and go as you please. Please note that we cannot hold tables for folks that have left, so if the space fills up before you return, you will be placed on the waitlist and notified when a table becomes available.

Can you teach me a game?

It depends on the game! Our knowledgeable staff is well-versed in many games, but like all humans, we do not know everything.

Can you recommend a game?

Yes! We have a chalk board with a selection of our current favorites, but if you don’t see what you’re looking for or want a more personalized recommendation, please feel free to ask!

Do you have kids’ games?

Most of our game collection is geared toward people ages 10+, but we do have a small selection of kids’ games that can be brought out on request.

How do I sign up for special events?

Go to Hoamsy.com and choose the category “Tabletop Games” - we should be listed near the top of that page. You will need to create a free account on Hoamsy to sign up, but once you do, you can sign up for anything Knight Moves has posted! Please call us if you have trouble.
